Barrhill Woods

If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature, you might want to visit the Barrhill Woods in Kirkcudbright. These woods are a mixed woodland of broadleaves and conifers, just above Silvercraigs Caravan Park. You can take a pleasant circular walk among the trees, which are especially pretty in late spring when bluebells cover the ground . You can also spot some wildlife, such as blackbirds, thrushes, woodpeckers and red squirrels . The woods have a small free car park, but you can also walk up from the town if you want to extend your adventure. The woodland walk is about one mile long, so it is ideal for young children or anyone who wants a short stroll. The Barhill Woods are a great place to get some inspiration and relax in a natural setting.
