We loved your site above Kirkcudbright. Town close by with the lovely bluebell filled woods behind. Good site facilities, plenty of space around the pitches. Not too many rules and no bossy site supervisors! Friendly fellow campers with well behaved dogs. Simple and efficient admin at booking and paying time, too.
Kirkcudbright has got everything about right. Full of interesting places to visit, excellent cafes, great waterside location and free parking!

We were very impressed with Silver Craig. Just a short walk from the village. It was very clean and well kept. Everyone was friendly. We had a lovely evening and a good night’s sleep.

We had a momentary problem with our gas and finding an electric kettle in the little hut with the fridge was a welcome find!

Brilliant first visit to Silvercraigs! Had a friendly welcome from Gordon, who helped us massively on arrival. Location is fantastic and is walking distance to the town. On site facilities are great and clean. Very well managed/looked after. Looking forward to coming back soon!

The site was just fabulous, and we had a great time. I must say the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would just like to thank the gentleman who helped start my motorhome as the engine wouldn’t kick up. He went home for his booster, and it started up no problem. That was so kind of him and I really appreciated his help. I did stop at Dumfries for fuel, after which it wouldn’t start again. Called the AA and he said that the battery was dead, so he installed another one. All’s well and we will definitely be coming back. Kind Regards Phil”

I had a lovely time camping at Silvercraigs! Excellent facilities, nice clean toilets and showers and I particularly liked the “private” washbasins. It all felt very safe, leaving food in fridge and items being charged in the green hut did not feel at all risky. I met some very interesting fellow campers too. Keep up the good work! Aileen Gray

I loved everything about the site! It was clean, showers and facilities were good, the warden (sorry I didn’t catch his name) was very kind and helpful and it had a nice quiet, friendly and relaxed atmosphere all around. Most of all I loved the proximity to the town and woodland walk and the stunning views. Will definitely be back as I think it might be one of my favourite sites so far, tho admittedly I was seeing Kircudbright at its best due to the wonderful weather. Keep doing what you are doing! Em
